A different kind of Sunday reset
The most valuable thing I’ve done for my mental health lately?
Learning to stop leading.
Sunday ritual.
Sometimes you reset with brunch.
Sometimes with friends, or just being out and about.
But one of the most powerful ways lately is this.
You almost always leave different than when you walked in.
It is a bit hard to describe.
A mix of kundalini yoga, pilates, primal movement, aerobics, and dance.
All on electronic music through silent disco headsets.
Often in candlelit, repurposed churches.
It is intense.
Sometimes uncomfortable.
Always revealing.
The movement unlocks things you did not realize you were holding onto.
The words, the music, the rhythm, they bring up thoughts you had not fully processed yet.
Most Sundays, you leave with at least one tear shed.
And a much clearer mind. ☺️
Learning to receive
Last year, they were looking for new teachers.
And as a yoga teacher, I could have applied.
But I didn’t.
And I am so glad I didn’t.
Because there is something I did not expect.
✨ You do not always need to be in the driver’s seat.
Not always leading.
Not always giving.
Not always holding everything together.
Sometimes, you need to put yourself in spaces where you can simply receive.
And if you are a founder or an exec, you probably know how unnatural that can feel.
I am starting to realize how rare, and necessary, these moments are.
What is a ritual that genuinely helps you reset?
I might be building something around this. So connect with me (Marie-Laure) on LinkedIn.
